BHAB Administrative Assistant

Kayla Weinberg received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in Gainesville in the Spring of 2020. To gain a better understanding of the clinical field, Kayla began working with BHAB as an intern in the Fall of 2020 under Goodman JFS’ Gesher Voluntary Intern Program. As an intern, Kayla had the opportunity to build a virtual workshop for the community in Developing Meaningful Relationships for Introverts, where participants explored introversion and the essential skills for connecting deeply with others.

After the program, Kayla transitioned into the Administrative Assistant position for BHAB, now working closely with the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director. Through working with BHAB, she has seen the agency’s positive impact on the community and has learned the importance of taking a person-centered trauma informed approach. In hopes of working with her own clients one day as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kayla aspires to earn her master’s degree in clinical social work.
